Latest DayZ Stuff

You need ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead. Steam is easiest.

Make sure you launch the game so it makes subfolders and configs etc before patching.

Most Current BETA Patch

After installing the beta patch, you must rename the arma2oa.exe exe to something else (arma2oa-old.exe), then copy the arma2oa.exe out of expansion\beta into the operation arrowhead folder.

Installing DayZ

Download and extract the files from cdn.armafiles.info/latest/
Make a dir called @DayZ under <steam dir>\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead
Then make a dir inside that called Addons
Copy the extracted folders into this

Final Steam Configuration

Edit the commandline for Arma2 OA and add "-beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash -mod=@Dayz"
